Hello,

a bit about me:

IMG_0380_edited.jpg

I am private Medicare eligible midwife who travels all over Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Previously, I was a director at Midwives Naturally.

I work with affiliated Midwives from the Melbourne Midwifery Collective (MMC). The Collective is a directory  of private Midwives, based in Melbourne who have a shared philosophy and wish to provide women and their families holistic and individualised midwifery care.

I am mentoring a student Doula, her name is Lauren. If you are interested in having a student Doula working alongside you & your family, I recommend clicking on Lauren's photo & contacting her for more information regarding how she can assist you.

I provide:

  • private Midwifery services.

  • specialist Midwifery care in the home and hospital support in private and public maternity hospitals.

  • Pregnancy, birth and post birth care until your baby is 7 weeks old.

  • Expertise in optimal birth, supporting the physiological processes of childbirth

  • Waterbirth

  • Childbirth education

  • Lactation education and consultations

  • GP or Obstetrician referral if recommended. Having a Midwife with you is particularly important if you require obstetric specialist care.

  • I follow the ACM guidelines for consultation and referral, 4th Edition (2021). Please click on the link for the list of possible reasons for a consultation or referral to a doctor.

  • Medicare rebates for pregnancy & post birth consultations

Visits can be done at home and at the clinic.

See my profile for information about my philosophy and practice.

Please note we do not have professional indemity insurance (PII) for labour & birth. Midwives have a regulatory requirement to have PII but are unable to obtain the product due to a world wide shortage of  PII for midwives. Therefore midwives in private practice have been provided with an exemption for homebirth until December 2023.

The midwives working with the practice have PII for antenatal and postnatal care with MIGA.
